A half-timber style, flat wooden station building designed by Tatsuno-Kataoka Design Office. This building is well known that is designed by Tatsuno-Kataoka Office in 1907 from a number of reference materials, and is an important architecture as one of the very few working stations constructed in Meiji period. It has extremely characteristic features with the dormer windows on the roof, bottle-shaped pillars at the entrance as well as half-timber. In 2018, it was dragged (in other words, moved as is, without disassembling them) for approximately 30 meters to southwest. It is scheduled to be used as the entrance of the new station buildingin several years. |
