Outline explanation

According to the biography of the temple, Enmeiji Temple began when Kobo Daishi enshrined the Jizobosatsu, and it was rebuilt by Jogon Osho in the Edo period. Homotsu-kan, the Treasure Hall is a two-story wooden architecture with a hipped roof structure. It has the gabled entrance hall in front. Big grampus are placed as gargoiles,gorgeous decorations at the entrance give an air of dignity like a turret in a castle. Inside, zushi or a miniature shrine is situated in the center of the first floor, surrounded by display shelves to be able to walk around. The second floor is used as a scripture house. It has a solemnness of design that tells it is the facility to store important things for the temple, it is evaluated as a prescriptive architecture.
