Outline explanation | The Small Music Hall constructed for The 5th National Industrial Exhibition held in Osaka in 1903, was moved and rebuilt at the current place, It was registered as a tangible cultural property in 1997. The octagonal shaped building and the decorative hafu (bargeboard) under the eaves are distinctive. The pillars sustain the eaves are open (without any fittings or walls), and the stained glasses are installed to the windows. It is remarkable st the skill of fine part, such as the top of the columns of the purline are decorated in the Corinthian order and mawaribuchi (long dressed lumber put in the part of wall surface meeting). |
