Outline explanation

The YAMANO family was engaged in the brewing industry, and six registered cultural properties, including the main house, stand on the 4,800 m2 estate. The main house was moved from a private house in Neyagawa City (built in the late Edo period). It has an earthen entrance hall disposed between nine rooms. The large Nagayamon (building with a gate and servants’ quarters) from the Meiji period (1868-1912) was also relocated in the early Showa period (1926-1989). All together, the house and the earthen storehouses of sake breweries are forming a classic street scenery.
