Outline explanation

A medium-rise reinforced concrete structured commercial building from the early Showa period. It locates on the southwest corner of the intersection of Hiranomachi-Dori Street and Sakaisuji-Street. Sakaisuji was the former main street of Osaka City. The building with the turret clock was designed by Hyozo So who designed many buildings centered around the Kansai area, and the construction was done by Obayashi Corporation. The characteristics of the period is expressed well, such as at the scratch tiles on the outer wall, emphasising horizontal lines on the upper and lower sides of windows, furnishing curves and decorations on the balcony and bay windows effectively. Currently the building is utilized as a concierge office after both the interior and exterior were renovated, also it available for commercial photos and filming use.
