Outline explanation

Karasunomiya Shrine is in Denpou Konohanaku Osaka city, the area of the mouse of Nakatu River which is the branch of Yodo River In Edo era many big cargo vessles were often arriving and departing in Denpou. As an intermediate of the small boats to central Osaka, Kyoto and Nara, Denpou was a properous harbour. The harbour was laid in 1215 (Kenpo 3) in the era of Emperor Juntoku. This Shrine is considered to deify Goddess Amaterasu Omikami (Sun Goddess) Sumiyoshi the Great God and Ebisu Ogami (the God of fishermen and lucks) to pray for maritime safety and convenient transportation ,and for the prosperity of that area. Inari Shrine is Ikkensha Nagaretukuri which has rich detailed designs. The Main Shrine is Shinmeitukuri built in early Shouwa era. The Front Shrine (hall of worship) is gabled roof. The brillant design of wooden curved support Kaerumata (shape of an open-legged frog) and the cloud dragon sculpture are indeed enchanting.
